London
SCHOOL TRIP EOI Cartagena (29th April –
3rd May)
The school trip to London was a
great success. First of all, we took our good
weather to the English capital and, however incredible
it may seem, it didn’t rain for five running
days!!!
Everything went according to schedule and we could
enjoy the Thames, and the explanations given by
Sue -the guide- the Tower of London and the Tower
bridge, Picadilly Circus, Big Ben and Westminster
Abbey, Trafalgar Square, The Globe, Leicester
Square (which will bring memories to more than
one young lady), Chinatown, the Soho ... just
to name a few famous or typical places.
The impressive buildings and contents of the National
History Museum (with almost live dinosaurs) and
the National Gallery (full of mummies and ancient
works of art) showed us the richness of art in
London.
Dinners at Japanese, Pakistani, Chinese restaurants
were delicious and the beer and meals of typical
English pubs filled our bellies with exotic food
and beverages.
Of course we cannot forget the views from the
Golden Eye, our shopping in Candem, Oxford Street
or Harrod’s. Or the musicals we could enjoy
in the very heart of London City.
But most important of all our group of forty students
(from Cartagena, San Javier and Murcia) going
“together” everywhere: on the London
underground (a couple of mistakes in following
directions), laughing all the way most of us,
and basically, having a wonderful time.
We came back with our suitcases full of presents
and our mind full of
fantastic
memories
from the trip: An unforgettable experience.
